Windows Server 2008 – How to switch off Internet Explorer Enhanced Security

If you are working on a Windows Server 2008 machine, either as an administrator or developer, you will probably need to switch off Internet Explorer’s Enhanced Security mode. The Enhanced Security mode is quite annoying, not letting you open most Web sites.

Here is how you can disable it:

1. Go to the Server Manager
2. Locate the Security Information section
3. On the top right corner click on “Configure IE ESC”
4. I would recommend to switch it off for the administrators only
