First look: Microsoft’s newest email client Outlook.com

In late July 2012, Microsoft announced a new web-based email client: Outlook.com. Here are a few screenshots of the new client.

As you can see the Outlook.com has been given a Metro-like makeover. From what I can tell from a few minutes of testing, Outlook.com is your basic functional email client.

Received mail

Notice the strange email address. I have never had a live.com address so I guess Outlook.com compensated

Composing a new email is just a matter of filling in the blanks.

A place to store and see your tracked deliveries – that’s a good idea.
